ASIATRIP 2011

hello.

Its been a while for me to actually write on here again and here I am. Again. With full force. The reason? I am returning to asia. After patiently waiting for 3.5 years, its that time again where I must return to the motherland. I cannot wait. The feeling in my stomach is indescribable. Ultimately, the reason for my return is because I miss my grandparents too much. 3.5 years is the longest break I took without seeing them and its been long overdue. My grandma misses me, and I miss her. I am currently in San Francisco (Pit stop to visit my parents) and tomorrow.. I'm off to my first stop.. Tokyo.

/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

The best part? My grandparents have no idea. It will be, if all plans go through, the best moment of my life.

hello, it's 9:20AM here in Taipei and the weather is 97 degrees.

a lot has been happening and i'm basically on my 2 weeks vaca from CDG. its great, cause i'm not an intern anymore but someone who works there.. which means that i work 10,000 times as much as an intern.

i want to upload goodies and shit and pictures and shit.. but it takes a lot of time and patience and right now.. i don't have neither.

i'll be back. pronto.

peace, love, and yakult,
tiffa.

PS. my summer schedule this time around:
Thailand: july 4th
ROME: july 8th
Paris: july 12th

You Ain't no Picasso

the air in tokyo hasn't smelled any better than this in a while.. hello, its 15 past 3 and I have officially started the much anticipated internship. Tokyo has been a grand better than I thought it would be like...

when i got here though, they basically weren't bullshitting when they told me that I was going to start right away.. My first day started off with running across the city from Ometesando to Ayase which is basically from distance... (San Francisco to San Jose or Manhattan to Newark Airport).. in the rain.. without an umbrella..

by the time i came back, they told me my schedule.. which i found out that I was working more than I thought i would.. 9am-6pm and occasionally.. throw in a overshift between somedays.. I'm off from Thursday's to Sunday

I ended my first day at 3am.. they needed extra people to help with their benefit party or whatever. Which ended up being fun. but very draining..

my third day here started off right.. with an 5.0 magnitude earthquake tremble.. so cute right? There was a bookshelf full of books that toppled a few feet away from me and Hatsumi... I expected, after the earthquake and aftershocks, sophie (crazy french bitch) would be like "hey is everyone ok???" no. she was like "CON MERDE!!!" (which is her favorite combo which i later found out was cunt shit) and she pointed at me and hatsumi to put all the 3,000+ archive magazines/books back in the book shelf.. that took us probably a good 7 hours?? it sucked.

after assuming that I would be working like this until August, I was pissing my panties.

but thankfully.. sophie told me that I won't be working long shifts after next week.. and I'll be able to sleep and shit. Phew.

To my surprise.. I've actually been having a lot of fun throughout these couple of days.. I've been meeting new crazy japanese fools.. and actually enjoying every minute of my time here..

enough of my internship.

My grandpappy got me a puppy.. which I later named with cousin, Yumiko... because my grandpa thought it was the best name.. I dont know why.

In terms of how I've been feeling lately, I've been pretty happy. ever since Parsons.. i've been pretty content. its almost bittersweet though, I miss my friends in NY a LOT. I've been away from them in probably a month. and it seems like 4EVERRR. meehaa.

PENIS.

I'm leaving for Taipei with Will to do fun things.. on the 28th. and than thailand for a few days and then my fav, phnom penh. considering the fact that I get thursday's and sunday's offf, I am going to take advantage of that and travel around asia.. cause everything is so close to each other..

I'm in okinawa right now, i need to go.

peace, love and dog,
tiffa

ps. i will post pictures soon. check again laterrr

I believe in you. Your magic is Real.

When in Asia, you'll eventually catch on and realize that having an insect repellant and a portable fan a necessity when stepping out in the mucky 100 degree heattt. I found out that.. it is so undenialbly crucial if you DON'T have it because one, you you will be attacked by bugs you probably never even heard of whom find it a desire to drink foreign blood (such as yourself) and itch like a motherfucker.. AND even develope a rash like bump that probably won't go away until after a month or two... i have mosquito bites EVERYWHERE.. including the back my ear lobe. (yes the back of my ear lobe), my toes, back, and ankles.. i hate bugs

and TWO

You will faint from a heat stroke/exhaustion and sweat gallons from the huminity. (again... "been there done that")
UGGH. by now, i thought that i would eventually get used to the heat being that I've already been in Asia for almost two months. Wrong. Its so bloody hot everywhere I go in Asia. I'm literally dripping sweat as I sit here.. typing away.. I feel gross. Note to self: The AC is ... GOD.

anyways.

So i'm in Taipei right now.. finally. After Mongolia (umm.. which is a place I will never ever go ever again), I flew to Nagoya and Oh my fucking God. the plane ride there was one of the scariest plane rides EVER. EVERRRR. There was so much turbulance that they stopped serving the food because they felt that it would splattter all over the place.. gahh!. After the Pilot said "flight attendants, please return to your seats" which followed a "Hi, this is the captain speaking, ahead, we have a very dangerous wind and I 'DEMAND' everyone to remain in their seats. We are talking at approximately 50 mph. OH yah, and hold on to your babies"..

LIKE WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK.. who SAYS THAT?? i swear. I was seriously about to shit bricks.. and this time I was by MYSELF.. which situations more scary. whatever. i was just so happy to safely land in Nagoya Airport. PHEW! fucking cuntshit man.

...

(thats mongolia.... yah. not a fave)

So In nagoya, i saw me grampy again and it was very nice.... sometimes i forget how importante he is there in japan... going to dinner with him is like.. almost impossible without some reporter or camera man standing waiting to question him about his decision to retire... but i have to admit, it was nice to feel somewhat fabulous and special when your chased down with your grandpa by paparazzi's.. hahah. and thats my 5 seconds of fame. Done.

oh right, my grandpa ALONG with my father.. are both fancying affairs. yes. you heard right ted, jessie and ryan. not only does dad mingle with some other woman aside from our mother.. but GRANDPAPA. umm. yah. its weird.. im not so much pissed but find it amusing? of how hard both men try to be sly.. but HA! they are so.. un cutty. in mongolia my dad kept talking to one unidentified woman.. whom he claims.. to be his.. "business associate Daniel" but clearly.. daniel's voice is a woman.. how awkward man.

blah blah

After waiting ever so long.. the Yacht concert was playing in Nagoya at the KD JAPON.. which is a very private and intimate little cafe. .. so intimate that we were at least a couple of inches away from Mr. Jona himself.. we even talked to him for a little bit.. mmm how i fancy him. Riko and I thought that it was going to be huge.. but it was microscopic compared to what we had in our imaginations. Whatever. I liked it.

Right now.. im in taipei right now.. and I dont want to fly anymore.. im so sick of it. i want to SETTLE. I feel like I have spent, so far, my entire summer in the sky... flying. Taipei is still nice.. hot as fuck. but cute as usual. Im seeing a couple of people here.. so i'm pumped.

I might cancel my EUROTRIP .. AND I"M SORRY FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO I WAS SUPPOSED TO SEE IN EUROPE.. but Tiffany is pretty much fried. i know i keep saying how tired i am . blah blah blah.. but I'm so so so so so tired.. in addition to being sick and stuff.. so its like this..

so i go to one country.. stay for about a week or less and finally feel comfortable and relax and then BAM! JHAM! oops, tiffa has another flight to catch in a couple of hours..

at first.. i even resorted to "video blogging" because i was too lazy to type.. but it didnt turn out so cute.. so didnt do it. i look like.. a trainwreck.

blah blee do fuckin bee hivin doo.

I was at Shilin Night Market yesterday.. and wow.. taiwanese girls can be so tacky sometimes.. like seriously.. im talking worse than abercrombie and fitch and uggs.. im talking low cut sparkly jeans w/ a pink tube top. circa 1990. gross gross gross.

that was random sorry. shooo. my entire blog is random.

anyways.
I miss my riko =( a whole lot.. RIKO COME TO ME RIGHT NOW.. you bitch. school my ass.. who cares about school.. come visit me in taipei!!!

so basically riko, asaka, sophie, nat, my dad and ali (my travel cunts) have all left me. i'm basically going to travel by myself now.. well.. in each destination.. i have people to see, meet, greet, fuck and im just kidding.

thats my lovely sam who interns for comme des garcon.. a rather fashionable japanese man indeed I am going to miss him dearly. (he said he wanted to be featured in my blog. haha)

kay, so the missing people is becoming ridicuolously disguisting to the point where everything and everything reminds me of hte people i miss. booo. hoo. fucking doo. i need to get over myself.

so this time.. tiffany becomes promising with her pictures.. i have so soososos oh so many pictures to share with you dirty cunts..

brace. your SELF.
